Meet the Course Creators
Jami Amerine is an author, speaker, artist, wife, mom, and friend. Jami and her husband of nearly 30 years, Justin live in the North Houston area of Montgomery County, Texas. Together they have 6 children, aged 6 to 25.
Jami is the author of Stolen Jesus: The Unconventional Search for the Real Savior, Sacred Ground Sticky Floors: How Less than Perfect Parents Can Raise Kind of Great Kids, Well, Girl: An Inside Out Journey to Wellness, and coming Fall of 2012, Rest, Girl: A Journey from Exhausted and Stressed to Entirely Blessed. Jami’s art can be found in Home Goods and on her website.
Jami has a Master’s of Education in Counseling Development from Hardin Simmons University and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science from Abilene Christian University.
Once hailed the “Lucille Ball of Christian Blogging,” Jami loves making her audience laugh until they cry and inspire them to seek more truth and freedom in the process. When not knocking out books in her office or painting daisies and roses in her studio, Jami and Justin homeschool their two youngest sons, as they did the “originals.” They are advocates of foster care and adoption and enjoy cooking and doing anything outside. Katie M. Reid is an author, speaker, podcast co-host of The Martha + Mary Show, a teacher, and a coach for communicators and creatives. Katie and her husband, Adam, of nearly 20 years, live in the middle of Michigan. They have 5 children, aged 5 to 16.
Katie is the author of Made Like Martha: Good News for the Woman Who Gets Things Done and the novel, A Very Bavarian Christmas. As the Inspiration Doula, Katie helps communicators and creatives bring life to their projects. She is also a member of the Ministry to Business Team and a leader in the Ministry to Business Huddle coaching community.
Katie has a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and a B.S. in Ed, with a major in Special Education, both from Central Michigan University. Katie has taught in a public and private school, as well as in homeschool co-ops and around her kitchen table.
Katie is a dynamic speaker who encourages others to walk in freedom as they live out their unique purpose, whether they find themselves in the marketplace, board room, classroom, or at home. Katie has been published on HuffPost, TODAY’s Parenting Blog, Focus on the Family, For Every Mom, MOPS and many other websites. She is a fan of musicals and cut-to-the-chase conversations over tea.
